Senioritis Shirts Say it All

Senioritis is defined as a fictitious disease that is only caught by members of the graduating class or those that are above the age of 50. Although senioritis is not life threatening, it is rather contagious. The only thing is no underclassmen can catch it. They have no idea what seniors mean be this. They must wait until it is there turn and they can find out for themselves what exactly it is all about. Until that happens, the must deal with looking at those who are in the senior class who get to wear their senioritis shirts.

Just how bad is senioritis? It has a way of being rough on an individual. It will make you go crazy. Just exactly how does it affect schoolwork? You get to the point where you do not want to pay attention, especially if you are doing real well in the class and there is no possible way of failing. At this point, all you really think about is getting out of school. Some people may still have baseball games or track meets left. Having your senioritis shirts with you will not make it much better. You just have to keep plugging along until you are done.

Home life is not exempt from senioritis. Kids do not want to stay at home. Some of them will have jobs to do after school. Some will have homework, although not a lot of it will get done. But for many, they just want to get out of the house, period. They do not wish to be cooped up at home. They want to hang out with their friends or go and hang out with the rest of the crowd. Wherever you go, you can take your senioritis shirts with you to let everyone know what your condition is.

For those who have had kids grow up and leave the house, senioritis means something a little different. For them it is a way to blame all of the problems on a certain condition. It is either that or they will claim to have other problems. They can have senioritis shirts as well, although they not may be able to remember what to put on them. Sometimes these may be referred to as senior moments. Whatever the reason for these momentary lapses of reason, we tend to overlook these problems and go on with life.

There is hope for those who have this condition, there is hope. This condition does not last forever. For those in school, there is a cure. It is called graduation. Once the members of the class have left school, senioritis is over. At this point, seniors may be able to throw out their senioritis shirts. For the senior citizens, they may need to keep theirs around for awhile. Although we hope there may be a cure for forgetfulness, it seems like that will never happen. We just know seniors can go on after with their chosen path after they finish with school. Senior citizens just do the best they can and hope they remember what it is they need to keep track of.
