Print Uniforms
Remember the days when all uniforms were drab and boring? You were either wearing a blue, gray or green outfit and had to either like it or try not to look at it. Back then it was believed that these “plain” colors made you look more professional and therefore a fact of life. Nurses wore pure white, orderlies wore scrub blues and anyone else wore plain solid colors. And then someone came out with print uniforms. Now part of the entertainment when going into a hospital or doctors office is checking out what all the staff might be wearing. What colorful scrub will your favorite nurse have on for your visit?
There is really absolutely no limit to the patterns that are now available for the uniform. In most cases when we talk about print uniforms you probably are thinking about the medical profession. A quick trip to your vet, beauty salon or other service location and you might have to rethink that assumption. Veterinarian assistants, front desk associates and other personnel in those offices tend to wear scrub tops that match what they do for a living. For instance at the vet you will probably run into at least one person with a scrub top on which has puppy paw prints all over it. Or perhaps they will have little dog breed faces all over it as well.
At the hair stylist you can definitely find cutters that have smock on with scissors all over it. And this repeats itself over and over again depending on the type of store you are walking into. However for the most part when you are looking at a lot of print uniforms you are probably in a medical facility. In this case the variety runs the gamut. If you are in department where there is a print that makes sense then you will probably see a corresponding print.
For instance, if you do into the maternity ward the chances are really good that you will see all types of variations of storks, babies and toys on the scrub itself. These aren’t the only print uniforms that you will see though. There are many different prints that you can buy or wear. There are all types of geometrical scrubs which have circles, squares, wavy lines and all the other types of shaped that you might think you would see. The variations can be as different as the person as long as you shop around for what you want.
Of course there are many other types of print uniforms as well. Just about any type of character, cartoon, television show or movie is probably out there on a uniform somewhere. It is very easy to find the variations. In some cases you can even find these types of uniforms in specialty shops. Like if you like Winnie the Pooh, you will probably find a scrub top of him at the Pooh store or even on line with Disney. So be inventive when you look for your print and think about where else you might find it. Nine times out of ten, you will find it.
