Are Neon Shirts Still Popular?

Much like any other fad that comes and goes, neon shirts come and go in terms of popularity. Every decade has its own turn with them.  Remember long ago, the days of bell bottoms and tie dye? What about jeans that are purposely ripped or cut to look worn? Bell bottoms aren't exactly the same as today’s boot leg jeans but they are similar and the style has come and gone and come again in different forms. Jeans were a popular item to buy and take razor blades or jagged knives to cut them and make them look worn. This used to be cool, now manufacturers just save us the trouble not to mention the accidents by distressing the jeans for us.

Neon shirts are among another fad that is in and out and back in again. From solid neon colored t-shirts to shirts with vibrant and colorful neon prints, there are many options to choose from. There are the standard colors like green, yellow, pink, and blue available in t-shirts, mocks, sweatshirts, etc. Along with the standard shirts and colors there are printed shirts with various designs or slogans, some of which are designed to show up different under black lights. Yes another one of those here today gone tomorrow and here again next year fads.

When searching for and buying neon shirts you will find colors and styles suited for girls or boys, women or men, and some that are pretty much unisex. It is important to be sure whatever color or style you get that you will be comfortable in it. Comfort is not only in the fit or the feel but the color. Some colors just don't look good on some people and some people can't pull off neon in any color. Think about it, what would you think if your boss walked into the board room wearing a pair of bell bottoms and a neon green shirt, probably not a good idea for him or her.

That said neon shirts can be a fun addition to a wardrobe, after all they say that the clothes make the man. If this is it true then maybe wearing neon will make you feel more upbeat or feel like doing something unusual and fun. Girls today, especially teenage girls are making neon pants and shirts more popular than ever. Girls sporting a neon green short and a pair of pink jeans seem to be a common sight. The confidence boost that one can get from wearing outfits like this can be a benefit as well. If you put on an outfit that makes everyone else say “wow he or she looks really cool in that outfit”, that's going to make you feel more confident about yourself.
