Houndstooth Baseball Caps

Hats come in many styles and colors. They can be found in all countries of the world. But there are some caps that may seem as if they belong in one area of the country or the world. Such may the case with this hat, the Houndstooth baseball cap. If it seems like it is a southern thing, they may be a good reason for it. This is definitely a different type of cap. Although it is still a baseball cap, it has a unique look to it. It is almost as if it looks like a checkerboard.

Why exactly do people wear Houndstooth baseball caps? It is for the same reason that people wear normal everyday baseball caps, they like the style. It could be for the person who made them famous. Although the Houndstooth pattern did not originate in this country, there is a certain person who made it famous in this country. Actually, the pattern originated in Scotland and is characterized by abstract 4 pointed shapes.  The first time it was created, it was woven in wool, nowadays it is created in many types of materials. Between the 30’s and the 70’s the pattern made many appearances on clothing.  The style has been around since the times of Edward VIII. Whether or not you have an appreciation for the design; the style has been around a while.

The Houndstooth baseball cap design is not for everyone. Although there is one state, that if you go there, you are likely to see tons of them. Many people have great respect for the man who made it famous. Although the pattern came from Scotland, like Irish head ware, it has places in the United States where it is more popular than other. This design may not be for everyone. However, like everything else, many people may like it for one reason or another. There are many reasons why people wear what they do. Whether it is for what it stands for, or just because they like the design, there is no wrong reason for it.
