Food Service Shirts for Restaurants

Today’s world has gotten itself in a great big hurry. Everywhere we look, we are trying to find ways of getting things done quickly in order to have more time with friends and family. One way of doing this is going out to eat in order to have more time to talk to friends. Going to a nice restaurant means having people cook the food, take your orders and serve you the food. Most of these people are required to wear food service shirts. Some places may be a little more formal than others, so the uniforms styles may vary from place to place.

Depending on what type of restaurant you are going to may determine the type of food service shirts that are being used. Many of your quick fast food places may end up wearing tee shirts. Most of these shirts may have a design chosen by the restaurant or the marketing group if it is a chain of restaurants. They could be just about any color you can think of, but they could be related to the color scheme of the restaurant. More than likely, it may have some slogan dealing with the restaurant or something off the menu that restaurant is famous for.

Restaurants that are a little more formal may have shirts that are a little dressier. Some of these food services shirts may include polo style shirts. Polo shirts may include the restaurant’s logo embroidered on the front of the shirt. Sometimes they may elect to go with colors that are related to the restaurant. Other times they may elect to go with black, white or navy due to the fact that they go with many outfits. For the most part, cooks may have smocks with the emblem of the restaurant on the front.

If you want a fun idea for food service shirts, you can design your own if you are opening your own restaurant. They may be many styles or designs in which you may choose from already. If there is nothing you like, you may choose to create your own. If you decide to go this route, be sure to choose your wording very carefully. While some wording may be funny to some, it may come out wrong or be taken the wrong way by others. Shirts colors are up to you but be careful what you say on your shirt.

Once you have chosen what type of food service shirts you are going to go with, how they look and what they will say will be up to you. Give consideration as to what type of shirt you want to go with. If your restaurant is one that is more upscale, then go with a shirt that is a little dressier. Make sure that whatever it is you choose will not send out the wrong message or wrong image. The same goes for the restaurant business that goes for everything else, you never get a second chance to make a first impression.
