Embroidered Silk

Silk embroidering is the customizing or changing of silk fabric in such a way that it will look more beautiful, attractive and blossom to fit many uses. Silk fabric can be used for so many purposes. Customized silk fabric is a luxurious material that plays a big role when it comes to decorations; this type of material is a perfect fit for garments, drapes and many other clothing. It has a good pattern that could be stitched into the silk. Some countries like china have some of the prettiest customized silk fabric; most of them have rich colors of natural pattern such as grasses, cherry blossom and other flowers.

Silk fiber is natural, it is woven into textile material and it is gotten from the cocoon of the silkworm larva. This process is called “sericulture” because it kills the silk larva; it has a triangular prism-sequel shape and a shimmering look from the fiber. This porous shape of this fiber reacts to incoming light rays from different angles to bring out the shimmer and sheen that helps in making the silk precious and high in demand by people who sought after it. The early history of silk can be traced to 6000BC in china. It was in 3000BC that a legend by name Xi Ling- shi gave a profound credit of silk discovery to the Chinese empire.

The fabric is unique and luxurious in nature thereby making it special by reserving it for use by royalty. There was a time when the fabric was found everywhere in china both culturally and geographically. After some time, it began to spread to Asia. During industrialization, the silk became one of the most traded items with Chinese merchants. They made haste to sell them at various ports along their ways and environs, because of its spreading trade across some extensive routes between Asia and Europe; people now named it “the silk road”. Up till date it is still known as “the silk industry.

Most of these silk are not cultivated in the way it ought to be. Most of the wild silk are being produced by undomesticated silk worms, this wild silk are of different colors and texture that makes it high in demand. When the silk cocoons is been eaten by a silkworm pupae, the threads that will make up the cocoon will become shorten. One of the most sought after wild silk is called muga. It is basically different from other types of wild silk, it has a golden natural sheen that makes it more unique and high in demand and most times it is usually hard to get. It is one of the strongest natural fibers and is better and able to absorb moisture.

Embroidered apparel made with muga silk can easily last the taste of time.

The uses of this material is so numerous, it can also be used to produce bike tires, artillery gunpowder bags, parachutes and comforter filling. It can be use as artificial arteries in hospitals. Most silk are used for surgical operation to produce fine suturing threads.
