What is an Embroidered Polo?

A polo shirt is a short-sleeved garment worn on the torso. It is generally made of lightweight fabrics such as pique cotton or linen, as well as more luxurious fabrics such as silk or merino wool. They are usually made of knitted, rather than woven, cloth. They are also known as golf shirts or tennis shirts, because they are frequently worn by players of these sports. In some schools polo shirts are part of the compulsory uniform for students, both male and female. They are particularly common in junior schools, for a more informal uniform for younger students. Students will usually wear embroidered polo shirts which bear the name and logo of their school to make it obvious which school they belong to.
