Selecting Customized Polos
Customized polos allow teams and squads to show uniqueness and individualism, while maintaining the structure of a group dynamic. When selecting customized polos it is important that the team be aware of the school, community, or organization they are representing and the color choices that will best represent their school, 
community, or organization.
Customized polos can be a very basic part of uniforms, such as for some field sports, or they can be extremely elaborate pieces of costumes used for dance squads or cheerleading squads. The customized polos created for dance squads usually include hand sewn detail work that can include beading or crystals and they can have intricate patterns sewn on them to reflect the goals of the team.
On some cheerleading squads, customized polos are made to withstand the wear of jumps, leaps, and falls and may have reinforced padding sewn into them to cushion continual falls to certain parts of the body. These polos usually also have decorative stitching that draws the eye away from any bulging caused by the padding.
Sponsors often include emblems or imprinted logos on customized polos to advertise their products or services and support the team. When polos are used as part of fundraising for events, the sponsors become a permanent part of the team and their emblem or logo follow the team to events and competitions throughout the community, state, and nation.
Unlike polos that are purchased in a store, customized polos can be cut so that every team member’s customized polo is the same length and height differences among the members of the squad become inconsequential to the overall look of the squad. The overall look of the team is then enhanced and presents a uniform vision of a team’s uniqueness and ability to perform.
When they are on the field, customized polos provide observers with a smooth and seamless field of vision that highlights the action of the team members instead of the clothing they are wearing.
